Puts main dealers to shame. Also: Needed a pre purchase check on an '81 635CSi so contacted the service manager (Darren) after seeing comments on here. They checked the car thoroughly at short notice (and during their lunch break) for no charge. Even gave me a lift to the station. Many thanks for saving me from what would probably have been an unwise purchase... Also: Had an interim service and pre mot check. Front ball joints and rear springs were found to be knackered and replaced. fair prices and sailed through mot. very professional and explain everything unlike bmw dealerships. Also: 25/08/06: Took my 330 to Lakeside and got my drivers window regulator replaced with genuine parts for a lot less than BMW. Service and repair prices very reasonable with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Dealers could learn a lot here! I will be going back. Thanks to Darren (Service Manager) also: 08/01/09: I saw several positive reviews here and elsewhere and decided to take my first ever BMW (Z3) there for post-sale vetting as well as due Oil Service, other bits & pieces. But even my last-minute decision to re-MOT was accommodated. What a nice bunch of people they are! Obviously Darren is the boss whose good customer-oriented spirit runs through the whole team but also I had a good chat with Chris who did most of my car and Jay who answered my call earlier. All very friendly and technically astute, happy to explain every details if requested. Clean, tidy and well-equipped garage provides professional atmosphere and I spent the whole 1.5 h servicing process from a nice viewing area within the garage. This little gem in the quiet neighbourhood of Surrey countryside has been highly recommended and perhaps the services got even better! Many thanks.

I just wanted to write something to say how impressed I was with
the team at Lakeside Garage. I went to them after feeling disillusioned with the
VW dealer and how expensive it had become. I have always been wary of mechanics
as a woman with no knowledge of cars and how they work, however I really felt as
if I had been treated really well and not as if I did not have a clue. I was
shown the old parts that had been replaced and Jay the owner explained to me why
it had been done. When I booked the service, Darren took the booking and was
really helpful in trying to fit me in to suit my working day. They even dropped
me off back into
Staines.
I had my vw bora serviced and had my brake light switch replaced.
Good ,friendly specialist in vw, they even pick up and deliver your car for
servicing from local areas. They also have fixed price servicing . I have been using Lakeside garage for over two years now and they never fail to impress. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, reliable, and most importantly great value for money. The annual savings I make by using Lakeside are enough for me to have a long winter holiday each year. Being the owner of an older vehicle i'm always expecting 'bad news'
when it's MOT & Service time. When i initially booked the car in & explained the
problems it had, i didn't feel a diagnoses was being made before the car was
inspected - a very welcome change.
Excellent Service -
car picked up from work and returned on time. Had to request service completed
and car returned early due to funeral - garage very willing and happy to help. I have recommended this garage many times Family, Friends and Business colleagues. I'm glad to have finally found a garage that talks to you like a human being and
is constantly courteous and polite. I never feel as if I've being ripped off and
have never been pushed into having work done, hopefully because they're busy
enough as it is! Started using this garage last year after moving to the area & due to the high miles I cover have been back to them around 5 times now for both service & repairs. I have always received a top notch service & the knowledge in house is confidence inspiring. So much more friendly & accommodating than the Main Dealer & also very competitively priced. A really nice touch is getting the car collected & delivered back to me cleaned & vacuumed! Will be using again & would wholeheartedly recommend to a friend /family.
